Court TV News

In today's court TV hottest cases, I bring you a lawsuit that was committed in the virtual world of Second Life. Kevin Alderman known as "Stroker Serpentine" in Second Life is known in the virtual world as a Hugh Hefner type. As sad as that sounds Alderman makes money selling virtual adult entertainment with programs like "SexGen". He has said that many online users have tried to copy his virtual products but after being told that he has copyrighted them the problem always had been resolved without judges. The virtual crime committed was by a user named Aaron Long, who stole the code to his program, made a few small changes and then proceeded to sell it for less. The lawsuit was filed in Tampa, Florida but the real identity of Long is not known. Is online crime the same as real world crime? Does Long need to be brought to justice in front of a real court?
