There are no less than a dozen reality court tv shows on during a typical week day. From Judge Judy to The People's Court, from Judge Alex to Judge Joe, we are inundated with people filing suits against each other for matters from the ridiculous to the ludicrous.
Want to watch the latest court trials of siblings fighting over Mom's china, tune in. Want to see court tv at its most shocking, it's there. Is it any wonder our court systems are over burdened with similar cases? Do these people even realize how ridiculous they sound? Do they get paid for this or do they just like the idea of being on tv?
Reality court tv shows are entertaining if you remember that much is exaggerated; otherwise it has no theatrical value. If you find yourself screaming at the judge or the participants, maybe it's time to change the channel.
