One of the facts about reality television is that there has been an overabundance of it since the writer's strike a few months ago. At first the reality tv popularity was very high because there were new ideas that were being developed but after a few months of watching almost nothing but a long list of reality tv shows, I think the viewing public is ready to get back to a few well written series. Reality tv popularity is high when there are people on the shows that are doing things that the average person does not normally challenge themselves with but reality tv popularity starts to lag when there is nothing but cameras watching people do stupid things in their daily lives. Personally I enjoy watching a short list of reality tv shows that depict people challenging themselves and accomplishing next to impossible tasks. Those kinds of shows are energetic and exciting and impressive as every day people pit themselves against almost insurmountable odds. In my mind that is what an interesting list of reality tv shows should include.
