A few of the reality tv shows on the list are are Pimp My Ride, Raw Nature, Race To The Alter, Survivor, Moving Up, Momma's Boy, Smash Lab, Secret Talents of the Stars, and of course American Idol. Personally I fail to see the reason for reality tv popularity as I find the shows less than interesting but there can be no doubt millions of tv viewers worldwide like the reality tv programming because the list of reality tv shows continues to grow longer each year. I have an opinion that this rise in reality tv popularity has something to do with the tv viewer living out the reality situation through the show and also there is a sense of voyeurism involved in many of the reality tv shows. The producers of the reality tv shows know this and they turn this great interest into big money through the commercials shown during the shows. This is what reality tv is all about--making money through advertising. The show is just the bait to get viewers to watch.
