The fact of the matter is that facts about reality television really dictate that it is indeed rarely based off reality and that most of the time reality television is scripted and fake, with the underlying values and insinuation that it is reality TV. Since reality TV popularity is at an all time high, we are seeing more and more of these shows populate the TV channels. Seemingly every time that you flick the remove another TV show based on “reality” pops up on the screen.

But the truth be known people, only very few shows like this are actually real and the rest are basically fake. Take any dating show on reality television and you know that it’s bunk. In the end people just want to be on TV, and many will do just about anything that they can to get there; even if it means dating somebody that they never would date just to score a few seconds of fame. Sure there are real shows like Idol and Real World, but I think it’s funny that many are tagged as reality TV when they are just as scripted as normal TV. In the end its all TV!
