In a recent poll conducted by AOL, Fox's American Idol edged out ABC's Dancing with the Stars for the top spot on the long list of reality tv shows.  Besides leading the race of reality tv popularity, American Idol judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul also took home the awards for "Favorite Reality TV Villian" and "Worst Reality TV Judge" respectively.  Although coming in second, Dancing With the Stars was the winner of plenty of awards.  Most noteably, Jason Taylor and Julianne Hough were named Hottest Male and Female Reality TV Stars.  CBS's Amazing Race lead the list of "Show You Would Go On", followed by NBC's The Biggest Loser.

On the oppostie end of the spectrum, VH1's Flavor of Love took the "honor" of the bottom spot and was named Worst Reality TV Show.  It was also named "Show You'd Never Go On" and Flavor Flav was selected as "Scariest Star".  Hogan Knows Best was named "Biggest Trainwreck" of the year.

Over 1.3 million votes were placed in the online survey.  This just goes to show reality tv popularity is still strong with the American public.
