With the writer's strike continuing on for several months, many of the networks have resorted to showing what seems to be last moment shows that have been put together on minimal budget and with very little planning. I have not been overly impressed with the list of reality tv shows in the last few weeks. Every time you switch the channel there is another list of reality tv shows that hits you in the face. Some of them have been a little bit entertaining but for the most part I am tired of seeing people make fools of themselves on television just for a few minutes of fame. It is my opinion that the reality tv popularity was just making a stable rise when all of  sudden the writer's strike hit and then the list of reality tv shows sky rocketed and the appeal was lost. There are a few shows that should be kept on the air and followed through with but generally the facts about reality television are that it has mostly lost its appeal and it is time to for the networks to regroup and begin producing good television for the viewing audiences.
