Reality TV Popularity Best on Movie Channels |

The problem I have with the ever growing list of reality TV shows is that they are less real and more scripted. It’s no secret anymore how planned many of these shows are. Splitting clips to make arguments more intense is just one of many tricks producers use to up the ante on reality TV popularity. Where I find the best real world shows is on HBO and Showtime. These channels are not limited to the constraints of standard TV so actual life can be aired. My favorite reality show is called Taxicab Confessions, in this show unknowing taxi goers get in with an inquisitive driver who digs deep to find interesting stories.
Some of the things the passengers start getting into are way to mature for basic cable but are captivating. I have seen episodes of people who recapped their experiences with 9/11. One lady actually swore off ever stepping into the Big Apple again after witnessing the falling towers. Other people have insane relationship stories and still others have great stories of survival. It is completely honest, uncensored, undoctored and pure. Reality TV popularity needs no nonsense shows like this to keep the “real” in reality meaningful.
