Reality TV popularity has grown in epic proportions since the original show that put reality TV on the map. I’ll admit to being a huge fan of reality TV myself, with my list of reality TV shows that I regularly watch growing with every new season

I remember when reality TV started growing in popularity, my parents went on and on about how they didn’t see the point of those shows. That was until I got them hooked on my favorite show. After we watch this show, that is at the top of reality TV popularity, we’ll call each other and talk about which of the players are our favorites and why. Usually we have a difference in who we’d like to see win, but this year, our favorite people happened to be the same, one of which went on to win the show. I cheered as though it were one of my own family members who won. As the list of reality TV shows grow longer, so do the viewers. People want to feel as though they are a part of something, and with reality TV shows that’s possible.
